What is CKD
Chronic kidney disease, also known as chronic renal disease or CKD, is a condition characterized by a gradual loss of kidney function over time. Chronic kidney disease includes conditions that damage your kidneys and decrease their ability to keep you healthy by filtering wastes from your blood. The Chronic Kidney Disease Management professionals at Kearsley are trained to provide specialized care and services to patients with Chronic Kidney Disease and related diagnoses.
Preserving kidney function and preventing further decline are the primary objectives of our program. When caught early it is possible to slow, stop, or even reverse CKD depending on the cause.
